HS Student Council members, sponsored by Molly Newman, treated JSH teachers all week for Teacher Appreciation Week. Monday: chips, queso and guacamole; Tuesday: taco bar; Wednesday: teacheritas; Thursday: breakfast burritos; Friday: room service favorite snack and drink.
Wednesday, the district treated all staff to lunch from The Burger Bus. Bear Backers gave out Sonic coupons for free drinks on Monday and handed out candy bars on Tuesday. Students were encouraged to wear a teacher's' favorite colors on Wednesday, shower them with gifts on Thursday and surprise them with something from their list of favorites on Friday. The Bank of Oskaloosa sent cookies for teachers on Thursday. I'm sure there were many more gestures of appreciation not mentioned here!
Teacher's were overwhelmed and thankful for the show of appreciation from everyone!
