The Celebrate Success Assembly was held Tuesday, 4/26 to recognize seniors and hear about the variety of plans they’ve made for their future! McPherson College came to recognize Rebekah Ballast, who received a full tuition scholarship, KS Wesleyan came to recognize Lily Stark who won $25,000 a year Band scholarship, and Highland Community College came to recognize Julian Bowen and Luke Davis for the full tuition scholarships they earned. Mrs. Sayles shared information about Trevor Willits’ full tuition scholarship from Ottawa University, and spoke about Cannon Cramer’s scholarships and admission into the Honors College at KU. Many other students shared some scholarships they received as well as plans they’ve made. Four seniors will be graduating from Washburn Tech. Lane Mitchell, Brendon Griffin and Machaela Shobe in Diesel Technology and Josie Dwyer in Cosmetology. Other students shared their plans to work or take classes online. We are proud of all our seniors and the plans they made! We will be recognizing them and announcing additional scholarship awards on May 11th at 7:00 pm at the Senior Awards Ceremony.
