On April 3-5 seven Oskie Bears attended State FCCLA Conference and competitions in Wichita. In Senior class Focus On Children STAR event, Kaylee Noll, Paige Harvey, and Rebekah Ballast placed with a Silver. Their project worked with the 4th graders at Oskie Elementary. The main goal was to help the students increase their love for and comprehension of reading. Kaylee's little dog, Zoey was the main attraction for this which also helped the students with mental wellness.
Jaidon Smith, Russell Norton, Jr, and Gage New also placed with a Silver in the junior division of Focus On Children STAR event. Their project's goal was to help increase the knowledge healthy snacks for young children. They worked with the second grade classes at Oskie Elementary.
Braden Bagby attended the competitions as a runner/timer for the judges.
Conference sessions included topics of leadership and tools for mental wellness among many others. We are proud of our FCCLA Bears!!!
