Oskaloosa Public Schools USD 341

The Oskaloosa HS Wrestling team competed at the Onaga Invitational on Saturday, Dec 11th.  There were 20 schools represented.  The following athletes were awarded medals by placing in the top 4 in their respective weight classes.  At the varsity level Holly Thacher went 4-0 to place 1st at 101 lbs.  Allison King went 4-0 to place 1st at 155 lbs.  Justin Miller finished the day 5-0 to place 1st at 285 lbs.  Jesse Thacher placed 4th at 120 lbs and Colson Perry placed 4th in the 182 lb weight class.  AZ Barkus (1st) and Barrett Heston (3rd) both placed in the JV 138 lb bracket for the Bears as well.  Additionally Jr Allison King was named most Outstanding female wrestler for the tournament and Sr Justin Miller was awarded the Outstanding male wrestler for the tournament.  The Bears will next be in action Thursday, Dec 16th at St Mary High School.
