Bold Travel

BOLD (Bears Outdoor Leadership Development) traveled east this year for a great adventure! A group of students (grades 7-12) had the opportunity to visit some amazing places and enjoy some new experiences. We rode the tram to the top of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, hiked part of the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina, spotted several bears as we toured Cades Cove in Smoky Mountains National Park, explored part of the longest known cave system in the world at Mammoth Cave National Park, and went ziplining through the Smokies! We camped every night at several beautiful locations along the way, enjoying hotdogs and s’mores cooked over a campfire. The students (and the sponsors!) had a wonderful time enjoying nature and are already talking about where they want to go next summer!!
