Building a Professional Learning Community in USD 341
Professional Learning Communities were implemented into the Oskaloosa schools as of the 2010- 2011 school year. This program creates a late start to classes four times a semester on Thursday mornings from 8:10am to 9:15am. On these mornings, the studentsʼ first class will not begin until 9:15am. Breakfast will continue to be served and the buses will run at the normal time.
Students are not required to attend during this time, however there will be scheduled activities for those who choose to attend. You may also choose to use this time to schedule appointments as it will not interfere with absences and attendance.
The PLC Dates for 2011-2012 are: August 25th, September 29th, November 3rd, December 1st, February 2nd, March 29th, April 19th, May 10th.
