December and January 7, 2008
Call to Order:
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm with 9 members present.
Committee Reports:
BIC:
Stadium Chairs: Reported that we have ordered 24 more stadium chairs to sell for Christmas. Still have a few to sell. Price is $30.
Scholarship: Have developed a $100 scholarship for one boy and one girl. Forming a committee of a teacher, business member, and a community member to pick the recipients. April 25th will be the deadline, See Mrs. Craig for details.
Voted on and passed to set aside a separate account and move $500 from savings to new account for scholarships. Also to add 10% from membership dues to the account every year.
Lounge Furniture: Voted on and passed to match up to $1000 to the school for new lounge furniture. Administration challenged students to keep area clean for $50 a week, administration will match what students earn.
Old Business:
Business Appreciation: Was held on January 4th home game. Had 4 tickets turned in.
New Business:
King and Queen of Courts: Voted on and passed to donate $100 and two cash prizes to the Spirit Squad for the dance.
Also ordering a medal for the King and ordering a crown for the King for King and Queen of Courts and Homecoming to use every year.
After Prom: After Prom will be held April 19th from 11:30 to 2:30 at the Westridge Lanes in Topeka. There will be bowling, Go Carts, Arcade, and Miniature Golf , Buses will load at 10:30. Will charge $20 for outside guest (non Junior or Senior). Kids will have to ride the bus there and home to be allowed in. Also prizes will be given on the way home.
Voted on and passed to check into having it next year at the same place.
Revised the letter and sent out to the parents of Juniors and Seniors, also will be sending out a letter to the Businesses.
Board Meeting: Updated a letter to the Board of what the Booster Club has been doing since last letter. Also requested permission for buses for After Prom.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
Next meeting will be held February 6, 2008 in the commons area. Hope to see you there!
